Let XXX be a topological space. Prove or disprove the following statements.

(i) If XXX is discrete, then XXX is compact if and only if it is a finite set.

(ii) If YYY is a subspace of XXX and X,YX, YX,Y are both compact, then YYY is closed in XXX.
