Special Relativity | Part IB, 2007

A particle in inertial frame SS has coordinates (t,x)(t, x), whilst the coordinates are (t,x)\left(t^{\prime}, x^{\prime}\right) in frame SS^{\prime}, which moves with relative velocity vv in the xx direction. What is the relationship between the coordinates of SS and SS^{\prime} ?

Frame SS^{\prime \prime}, with cooordinates (t,x)\left(t^{\prime \prime}, x^{\prime \prime}\right), moves with velocity uu with respect to SS^{\prime} and velocity VV with respect to SS. Derive the relativistic formula for VV in terms of uu and vv. Show how the Newtonian limit is recovered.
